Start in Chicago,.then, it’s GO WEST YOUNG MAN! All the way to South Dakota! Plaines and Steppe,.grasslands! If you want corn,.? You got it! Beautiful.
We traverse The Breadbasket of The World through Illinois, Iowa and South Dakota! The Badlands! Amazing. We arrive in Rapid City on the fourth nite, for 2 nites and off to Sturgis Bike Rally. The BIG one!
Leaving the crowd behind us,.we head south, up into the mountains to our base-camp, The Rocket Motel, in the town of Custer. Serious cowboy-town. Serious biker-town. Paradise!
3 nites of unending beauty and excitement as we do day-trips all over the famous Black Hills! “Mount Rushmore”! “Crazy Horse Monument”! “Deadwood”! “Lead”! “Spearfish Canyon”! “Devils Tower”! “Needles”! och “The Badlands”,” Needles Highway”, ”Iron Mountain Road”, ”The Wildlife Loop” Breathtaking. Oh,.don’t pet the buffalo or cuddle the mountain-lions,.
The Black Hills are sacred to Native Americans and we’ll experience much of their culture. A solemn visit to Wounded Knee is planned.
We head back, east, through Nebraskas no-mans land to the Mississippi where we head north on Great River Road to biker-town Savanna, Il.
Northeast to Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Lake Michigan,.and a VIP-tour of Harley-Davidsons new, amazing museum!
South down to Chicago. Northside. Miracle Mile. Sight-seeing, shopping, a steak-dinner, blues!
The next day! We all head for home, but part of us remains, on the road, on Littleboy!
