21 Aug. – 1 Sept.\u00a02022 Route: POI: ___<\/p>\n The route I set up takes us through some of the most beautiful areas in the entire United States. Amazing. Every day, revelation after revelation.<\/p>\n Day 1. To San Francisco. Tired riders chill at the hotel.<\/p>\n Day 2. Early start. Pick up the bikes and head north over the Golden Gate Bridge into Wine Country to Cloverdale, a cool little artistic village. Far out!<\/p>\n Day 3. Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) North through endless, mighty beauty, all day long, towards Fort Bragg.<\/p>\n Day 4. We continue north on PCH. More of the same. Magnificent. Incredibly beautiful. We drive parallel to the coast on “Avenue of the Giants” A straight-up \u201creligious experience\u201d in the middle of an immense prehistoric Redwood forest, destination Eureka, cool coast village with a good Italian restaurant and English pub.<\/p>\n Day 5. East. Up towards the sky. Into the Sierra Nevada mountains we ride. Dreamy mountain roads and powerful views all day long. You have to pinch yourself sometimes. Destination. Redding.<\/p>\n Day 6. We continue east through the Sierra Nevada, up and over to Reno Nevada, \u201cLittle ‘Las Vegas\u201d. Party-hat time?<\/p>\n Day 7. Early start as we head south down to amazing Lake Tahoe in the mountains. We continue along the east side of Tahoe and south to Bridgeport, entranceway to Yosemite.<\/p>\n Day 8. Yosemite! Need I say more? Confusingly beautiful. Onward to a cowboy town straight out of a western movie. Jamestown.<\/p>\n Day 9. To San Francisco. We cross California back to the coast. Once in San Francisco, we return the bikes and become pedestrians, but, man, what a great place to be a pedestrian!<\/p>\n Day 9. Off-day in San Francisco. Lots to see, lots to do. One word. STEEP! \u201cMy time\u201d day for everyone. AMAZING Chinese dinner promised for this evening!<\/p>\n Day 10. Fly home<\/p>\n Day 11.
